Africa Day is a day of celebration for Africans and people of African descent all over the world. For decades now, Africa day has provided as an opportunity for everyone to celebrate the socio-economic achievements of the continent and the diversity of African cultures and heritages. Edmonton's Afrika Day Celebration is a day of celebration, a day of joy, a day of love, a day of solidarity and a day of looking towards the future while acknowledging the past, a day to build community between residences, businesses, and youth sports.
This outdoor festival will bring Edmonton-based food trucks to 107th Avenue and 104th Street and provide space for local artists and businesses to interact with residents. Edmonton's Afrika Day will also supply space and mentorship for youth soccer as well as sign up opportunities in order to create a local club!
We are looking forward to celebrating Afrika Day with you on Saturday, May 28th in the heart of Edmonton on 107 Ave right across Habesha African Market.
This initiative is brought to you through a partnership between Afrodisiac Market, Habesha African Market & La Connexional.
